Agent++ and Microsoft SNMP agents/subagents

If I develop an agent using Agent++, does that preclude using the Microsoft agent and subagents?  I'm no doubt showing my naivete when I say that I had expected this to be possible by configuring a management station to talk to the agent at the same IP address but a different port, but the management software I'm looking at now doesn't appear to permit this.
