MIB Designer v1.0 beta is available for download from

MIB Designer is a Java 1.2.2 application for visual designing and
editing of MIB module definition files. With MIB Designer there is
no need to be familiar with ASN.1 nor with SMI syntax notation.
Providing tools such as drag-and-drop, copy, cut, and paste of
MIB nodes as well as error checking and preview with syntax
highlighting, MIB Designer makes writing MIBs a question of
minutes no matter what operating system you prefer.

Feature List:

+ Round-trip Editing for SMIv1 and SMIv2 MIB modules
+ New MIB modules are automatically created using SMIv2
+ Supports editing all SMIv2 objects (incl. Agent-Capabilities)

The beta test phase will end 15 December 2000. Until then
a free test license can be downloaded from

With this license a maximum of 20 MIB objects can be saved.
