Updating tables versus servicing requests

Hello all,
I have some tables that is part of a mib and I update the entries in the
table as and when the value changes. So on startup, I initialize the table
and as and when the value changes, I update the table. In essence, when a
snmp request comes in the tables have the latest values and so my real
application never has to process request. Do you see any problems (in terms
of memory etc.) with the above approach given the fact that I never want to
service a snmp request directly?
Thanks.
