question on HMAC-MD5 in agent++ on Linux

Hi,
  I installed agent++v3_5, agentX++v1_4, snmp++v3_1_3g, and des-l-4_01 on my
Linux
with Red Hat 7.0. When I used MG-soft mib browser and UCD SNMP to pull the
system info from the agent
with V3 option, authentication failed with the selection for HMAC-MD5. The
selection for
HMAC-SHA worked. I didn't change anything in the code. I would like to know
if some people
have come across a same or similar problem, or if it is an existing problem,
and aslo want to know
how to make HMAC-MD5 work for V3.
