I wrote too soon.  The problem was solved by adding the +DAportable switch
to the compile (I forgot to mention that I was using the aCC compiler as
well).

        I am compiling the snmp++ library on HPUX 11 and get the following
warning: "/usr/ccs/bin/ld: (Warning) At least one PA 2.0 object file
(address_sh.o) was de
tected. The linked output may not run on a PA 1.x system."  Well it turns
out that I need to compile the library on a PA 2.0 system but I need it to
also run on a PA 1.0 system.  Which means that I need to find out what
function(s) in address_sh.o is causing the problem right?  Has anyone run
into this before and can point me in the right direction?
