What's the best way for snmp++?

Hi All,

I am very new to this mailing list....I have snmp++3
api to write a network management software. Also i
don't have any documentation for that api, so what's
the best way to start/test a simple program to test
the api.

Lets say I have a snmp agent running on my machine and
how can I get the sysDescription or upTime of my
machine using the api? I am sorry for this very basic
question, but its a start. Please let me know as per
your convenience.
