After you compile the snmp++ library, you need to do:

(as root user)
make install

This will install the compiled libraries in /usr/local/lib.

check file :  /etc/ld.so.conf
and make sure it contains the line:  /usr/local/lib
if not, add that line and save the file.
Then run /sbin/ldconfig

Then your console sample should work fine.
