?
Hi All,

We were earlier using snmp v2.6 and have now have migrated to snmp v3.2. After migrating, we have observed that if the SNMP communication is disabled on the SNMP target and we try to make some snmp queries (get), it takes a longer time compared to the earlier V2.6. On debugging the code, we observed that the do-while loop inside the function EventListHolder::SNMPBlockForResponse gets called around 7 or 8 times and due to this there is around a 6 secs wait after which the Timeout response is returned by the snmp v3.2 dll.

Has anyone comes across such a scenario and is there any good way to overcome this. We provide the timeout for the target as 3 secs and so we expect the query to return back within this time. Can anyone please provide some inputs in this case?

Thanks and Regards,
Satheesh
