[AGENT++] compile error

hello everyone:
I have got a copy of Agent++,and attempt to build a Agent.lib using VC 
6.0,
I have sucessfully built libdes.lib,libsnmp.lib,
when I started to build libagent.lib ,I met some error in compling 
snmp_pp_ext file

d:\snmp_sourcecode\snmp\libagent\src\snmp_pp_ext.cpp(160) : error C2065: 
'vbs_size' : undeclared identifier
d:\snmp_sourcecode\snmp\libagent\src\snmp_pp_ext.cpp(162) : error C2065: 
'extend_vbs' : undeclared identifier3

I know these two variables exist in class Pdux which derives from class 
Pdu,and I get a glance at pdu.h ,there are indeed those two variable,and 
they are protected varible.According to the law of C++,sub class indeed 
have right to use them.But now ,the result violate it.
