[AGENT++] SNMP++ and AGENT++ license clarifications

Hi Frank,

I’m interested in using Agent++ and SNMP++ to implement a SNMP Agent for a commercial embedded platform. I was able to compile the SNMP++ and Agent++ source files into a library using the Green Hills compiler. I was even able to run it on the target processor and send SNMP requests that were serviced by Agent++/SNMP++. I’m shocked at how easy it was to get things up and running on a embedded target. I had to make a few tweaks to a couple of the source files in order build them successfully. I don’t need any encryption features so I turned off all encryption macros (DES, SHA, and etc..). However, we plan use v3 (but without encryption). My main question is: can I use the Agent++ and SNMP++ frameworks in a commercial product? Also, if I have to make changes to build the libraries for my target, do I have to submit the changes back to you? The end platform would be for a commercial product and we wouldn’t be able to provide any changes back due to specific requirements. Do you know if this framework has been used in any commercial products?

Thanks,

Garrick
