Frank,

Still having trouble. I installed autoconf v2.69:

autoconf (GNU Autoconf) 2.69

I re-extracted snmp++ and agent++ from their tar.gz files, and ran autoreconf -i on both of them. I ran ./configure, make, and make install to install snmp++ to /home/nick/snmp_new_autoconf.

I then ran ./configure for agent++, and I get the same error as before. Cannot find snmp++.

Steven,
You are most likely using an too old autoconf version. Please install a newer version. See also the SNMP++ FAQ.
Best regards
Frank
