[SNMP4J] indexed values

Hi all,
i want to know if it s normal that i can t access to indexed
values: some fields (like MAC adress), their oid are indexed
by the ssid ,...; so when  do a snmprequest with the exact oid
(because i am not supposed to know the index of each oid) it
returns "no such instance"whenever i do  it with the exact oid
(with the index) it returns me the value.
With net-snmp the exact oid returns me the value .
Is it a bug or there a solution to solve it?
