[SNMP4J] Options for an SNMP agent

Total newbie post ...
I posted a message earlier and here is a new version of it, it is clearer to
me what I really am asking.
I have to have an SNMP agent, that my customer can use to do my multi
platform app specific management AND OS settings as well. So some custom and
some existing management. For instance, I need to support RFC1213-MIB.


Questions:

   1. Do I have to expose this MIB through my agent?
   2. How do I plug in to the native agent that handles this MIB? What are
   my options? Pros and cons.
   3. How do I do the above so I don't need to redo the step for every
   additional OS that I may support in the future?

Lets start with these for now.
