Broadcasts in Agent++ Framework

Hi,
it might be the hundredth time someone asks this question:
we send a broadcast request (to IP address 255.255.255.255) from a SNMP manager but the agenta do not react to it. Is there any special way to configure the Agent (implemented with agent++ framework) that it accepts / receives such a request? Or is this 
behavior not configurable on agent site but on the WinNT host (on which the agent runs)??
