Agent++ performance testing

Has anyone done any kind of performance testing with the Agent++?

I have a need for an agent to monitor traffic on a ethernet socket and
generate traps from events coming in at up to 800 per minute.

I realize most of the performance will depend on the platform the agent is
running on (Sun UltraSparc) but can should the Agent++ be able to handle
something like that (in general)?
