MAX_VBS

Hi Frank,

	I am using snmp++ version 3.1.5

	I was just concerned about possible impact on some of the snmp++ code I'm not
so familiar with. I've only been using it in anger a few months and I'm trying
to avoid learning any lessons the hard way.

	With regards to increasing MAX_SNMP_PACKET at the moment it is 4096 - I was
assuming that any agent supporting later than snmp version 1 would return a
too big if the response exceeded this size (however, I did notice that the
cisco router I'm working with allowed you to set this value for the agent)? I
can see that you would need a larger buffer on encoding as you might not have
the room to send all the Varbinds.

	Is it fair to say then that if you double MAX_VBS you should double the value
of MAX_SNMP_PACKET?

One other question - the FAQ suggests you build the snmp++ library as a static
lib - is there any reason for windows systems that it can't be compiled as a
DLL.

Many thanks

Wayne Brackstone
