Hi,
I apologise if this is a really stupid email, but I'm feeling pretty damned stupid! :)
Basically I'd like to use SNMP4J to query some very simple devices. Now, the problem is that I've had a look at the SnmpRequest class and there's just too much going on in there.
I've tried running it with the command options that I think are correct and my requests are timing out, even though I know that the address I'm querying responds to SNMP from other sources.
So I'm asking for a kind soul to provide me with one (or both) of two things:
a) The exact arguments I need to pass to the SnmpRequest class to retrieve the SysUptime (for instance) from a device at a known IP address.
b) Unsophisticated example code of an SNMP manager class; i.e. one that sends GETs and SETs and uses TRAPs.
I realise that this is frightfully newb-like, but any assistance you could give would be gratefully received. Of course, if this information is all in a Readme that I've overlooked then point me at it and I'll have the decency to feel suitably embarassed.
Thanks,
David Sparkes
