[SNMP4J] HELP: snmp4j question

Hi,
 
I want to provide snmp function in our program, we only need 2 type function:
--------------------------------------
Following counters should be provided:

*	SOAP requests received;
*	SOAP response sent;

Following traps should be provided:

*	Start-up;
*	Shutdown;
*	Error;

-------------------------------------------------------------------
 
I have read your java doc try to find out some sample code, 
the code in snmp4j.java only say how to send a request to agent.
 
I need to know how to send a trap and how to provide a counter function.
could you please give me some advice?
