[SNMP4J] min and max length of SubIndex ?

Hi everyone ,

Please could someone clarify the following methods arguments :


the oid , is it the OID of the table entry or what exactly ?
when the index of table is a String what  length  size should I use for min
and max ?(and for the case when the index is Integer)

 MOTableSubIndex createSubIndex(OID oid, int smiSyntax);

 MOTableSubIndex createSubIndex(OID oid,int smiSyntax, int minLength, int
maxLength);
